SPPAM v1.5.2

Experimental Musical Compiler // Behavioural Constraint Compiler // ℒ : INVARIANT

INITIALISING BEAMLINE

ESTABLISHING CERN CONNECTION

ℒ : INVARIANT / From physics to music

First, meet the instrument.

What if a photon, neutrino or gluon could help shape a piece of music? SPPAM lets you explore that idea. Choose a particle, adjust its musical settings, then select Initiate Collision to see its interaction diagram and generate prompts of your own. No physics degree required — just curiosity. These are musical interpretations, not the literal sounds of particles.

SPPAM v1.5.2 NOTES

Purpose: audition many behavioural interpretations and keep the strongest candidates for ℒ : INVARIANT.

Metric: post-reveal recognition, not blind identification. Once the entity is named, can its rules be heard?

Rule: do not make the particle dramatic. Make the particle's rules unavoidable.

The interaction view illustrates the selected context; it does not simulate collisions or influence prompts. Its banner identifies detector-style, conceptual or artistic content. Close it at any time. Reduced-motion preferences show the complete static view. Musical compilation remains v1.5.1.

Physical identity and the defining score take priority over role edits, audition treatment and style. Each profile starts from a score authored at its preserved preset. Changes across a matrix band edit named roles and phases; unchanged bands do not add generic instructions.

Matrix bands remain 0–3, 4–7, 8–10. Hover for the current role-specific meaning. Debug shows requested settings, effective bands, role edits and limits. Some settings share a band or hit an identity limit. Decay controls handoff contrast in a transforming context and local timbral variation in a persistent one; it never invents decay.

Identity mottos and family labels remain as artistic context. The explanation and performance guardrails have been refined. Neutrino flavours and W charge conjugates share mechanisms; musical intervals are not conserved physical quantities. Audible benefit still requires listening tests.

And then there was music.

The experiment did not end at the compiler. Its physics-inspired rules became prompts for Suno, which turned them into music — sometimes surprising, sometimes rather beautiful, and not always what the rules anticipated. The finished album brings together the interpretations selected by ear. Have a play with SPPAM above, then come and hear where the experiment led. These are musical portraits inspired by physics, not recordings of particles.
