DX Hunter Privacy Policy
Effective date: 13 October 2026
DX Hunter is an amateur-radio DX game published by MacAlchemist. This privacy policy explains what information the app uses and how it is handled.
Information stored on your device
DX Hunter stores game information locally on your device so that your progress and preferences can be retained between sessions. This may include:
- your chosen or entered QTH/location used by the game;
- game settings and preferences;
- scores and high scores;
- logbook entries;
- awards and other game progress.
This locally stored information is not uploaded to MacAlchemist as part of normal game operation.
Online services
DX Hunter uses internet services for features that require current external data. These may include:
- map tiles supplied by OpenStreetMap-related services; and
- live solar, space-weather and propagation information supplied through MacAlchemist.
When the app contacts an online service, normal technical information such as your IP address, request time and requested resource may be visible to that service or to the web server handling the request. Map requests may also indicate the general map area being viewed through the map tiles requested.
DX Hunter does not send your saved scores, logbook, awards or game settings to these services.
Accounts, advertising and tracking
DX Hunter does not require a user account. It does not contain advertising, and it does not use cross-site tracking, behavioural advertising or profiling.
Purchases
If you obtain DX Hunter through Google Play, payment and purchase information is handled by Google Play. DX Hunter itself does not receive or store your payment-card details.
Sharing and sale of personal information
MacAlchemist does not sell personal information collected through DX Hunter. Information is not shared with third parties except where technically necessary to provide the online services described above, or where required by law.
Children
DX Hunter is not specifically designed for children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Data removal
Game data stored locally can be removed by clearing the app's storage or uninstalling the app. Because DX Hunter does not maintain a user account or cloud profile, there is no separate server-side game account to delete.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated if DX Hunter's features or data handling change. The current version will be published at this address.
