The second volume of the Trystan Hag Isolt Trilogy follows the deepening tragedy after the sea-voyage from Ireland: the drinking of the philtre, the binding of Tristan and Iseult, the whispering barons, the exile in Morois, blood upon the flour, the king’s grief, and the slow turning toward repentance.

THE HEART OF THE TRAGEDY

Bound by the philtre aboard ship, Tristan and Iseult become prisoners of a love neither wholly chosen nor wholly resisted.

Around them gather spies, whispers, false friends, hidden watchers, and the slow machinery of courtly suspicion.

The lovers flee into the wilderness of Morois, living beneath leaves, thorns, rain, and fear, while King Mark wrestles between vengeance and mercy.

Yet even in exile, honour, oath, kingship, and faith continue to haunt them.

The potion weakens. But the sorrow remains.
