The two brighter objects of similar size in the image center are from left to right Sh2-255 and Sh2-257; Sh2-255 is also cataloged as IC 2162. To the immediate lower right of Sh2-257 is the small Sh2-256. The large dim object to the right of Sh2-257 is Sh2-254. The very small and faint Sh2-258 is located to the lower left of SH2-255 (IC 2162).
